Al-Taj News – The Cybercrime Unit warned of the dangers of accessing fake links and downloading untrusted applications distributed outside official stores, noting that many of them contain malicious software used for financial fraud and the theft of personal and banking information.

The unit stressed the need to avoid links and applications that promote watching movies, series, and matches, calling on citizens to rely on official and trusted websites and stores, and not to enter any personal or banking data through links of unknown origin.

It emphasized the importance of continuously updating protection software and activating the two-step verification feature to enhance the security of personal and banking accounts and reduce the likelihood of them being hacked.
